Fictictious Bank Survey
The Better Business Bureau is warning about a scam that tricks bank customers into giving out personal information over the phone. The thief calls, asking victims to take a survey about their banks. They ask questions like "were you satisfied with your experience?" on a scale of 1 to 10. At the end, they ask for a social security number, catching the victim off guard. The BBB says anyone who receives a call about a survey should ask for the name of the company and tell them you'll call them back. Then, contact the bank and make sure it is legitimate. Never call the phone number the caller leaves. Get the number directly from the bank.
